The dyno run was done in 5th gear as the that is the only gear that runs the full map. He said it was reading 166 mph but that was not to the limiter. I had it clocking 187mph STILL got more left but you need balls and a long bit of road for flat out.

@papukaiffa The dyno does best when you are at a certain gear ratio, usually this is around 5th gear

On the speedo maybe. A stock 2008 gsxr 1000 will reach about 180mph real speed with no wind resistance. So with an average 180lb male driving and little wind resistance I would imagine a max speed of 170-175.

If someone tells you they saw more than 186mph on their late model Suzuki speedo, know that they are lying. The speedo stops at 186mph, no matter what the real speed is. Bone stock my 08 g1K read 186mph, while doing an actual 173mph. The way to actually measure top speed is with a GPS, the speedo is just not accurate, even with a speedo healer.

My 08 1000 gsxr tops out at 192. (not actual) but by the speedohealer i actually couldnt go any faster than 182. all i have is a pipe
