First cesarean with hypno-anesthesia in Iran:

For the first time in the country, Iranian doctors have used hypnosis as the sole anesthetic to deliver a baby via cesarean section.
On Saturday at noon, 24-year-old Aida Hassanlou gave birth to her 3.950 kilogram baby girl, Saqi, by C-section while she was awake but under the effects of hypnosis.
Dr. Roya Khodaei Ob/Gyn, who performed the C-section at Eivaz-Zadeh Hospital, Tehran, told reporters that her patient did not take any anesthetic drugs and only hypnoanalgesia techniques were employed during the operation.
However, anesthetists were present in case of an emergency and her vital signs were carefully monitored the whole time.
According to Dr. Khodaei, hypnosis blocks the perception of pain, just like a pain-killing drug, but without the sedation or side-effects.
"Similar methods can be used in natural childbirth as well," she noted.
Following the easy and successful 45-minute caesarian section, Dr. Hossein Almasian, the clinical hypnotherapist who used hypnosis on Hassanlou, said "Even at the point when the patient was feeling slight pain, everything was under control during the operation."
"Pain management" is one of the most effective of all hypnosis applications, he added.
Volunteering to be the first women to undergo a C-section without conventional methods of chemical anesthesia, Hassanlou had attended pain management sessions with Dr. Almasian for four months, before her due date.
"I trust my hypnotherapist," the pioneering mother-to-be had said before the operation.

  • Yes Thats Just Very Disturbing...Well the Thought of it Anyway not So much the Imagery.

  • You don't know any thing about Iran and I think you dont like to know because you even jumped to the wrong conclusion by watching a scientific video.

Just watch your world from another aspect because if you dont do that every thing will be disturbing for you.

  • This Has More to do with Medical Ethics than any Nationality any Major Medeical Organization Would Call this Dangerous & Unethical. More Than likely She was Sedated Otherwise she'd have been Screaming in agony.

  • OK, cool. But just google cesarean & hypnosis to see in which countries this method is being promoted.

By the way this patient was volunteered for this operation.

  • Ohhh Jesus Now There Operating On ppl with no Anethesia.......This sounds More like Nazi Germany everyday.

  • Are You All Right??????

  • I will pass.

For NORMAL delivery, it makes sense.

Next step: Hypno-anesthesia on an open-heart operation!

  • I didn't notice any hypnosis in the video though Hypnotic Anaesthesia is possible....unless you count that nonsense when a man mysically waves his hand over her face when her eyes are already closed. That's nothing more than showmanship and he probably learned it in a stage hypnosis course.

  • @LitLBirdLitLBird how does hypno anesthesia make you give birth??

  • @LillyIvy It's already being done... :).

  • What a fuckin jerk. Hypnosis does NOT make people in trance or other shit. It is primarily a help to meditation. This man knows nothing. Stop him before he kills people!!

  • @henrybrb don't envy )

  • @jamejam07

Relax dude. The idea that someone is being cut open without any anesthetic really is disturbing. Imagine the pain that a c-section would cause. Hypnosedation is an interesting thought to be sure, perhaps even a science. However, in a world where even a local anesthetic is expected, it is disturbing and seems almost cruel. Try and be less antagonistic and instead think why someone posted their comment.

  • @AllBabiesGetRaped

i dont wonder that exactly you are raising that question, especially not when i take a look at your name

  • they lied, she is actually 15 years old

  • @midaztouch I agree and they cut away too much in the video so you never see if there is anything given to her. If there was no cuts to the video she could have still recieved something before filming.

  • It doesn't look convincing to me. It would be extremely easy to fake. I saw a guy get a root canal under hypnosis and it didn't go very well. Granted, it was on the show Bullshit by Penn and Teller so not exactly an unbiased scientific source.

  • Deflin: are you really an anesthesiologist? Your wording is a bit off and you were only 24yo when you wrote this. I have some doubts.
