All rainbows are double, if you look more closely.

i saw a full circle rainbow from a plane when i was seven ... i was so amazed by it

This is NOT a rainbow: this is indeed a glory. The former is caused by refraction, and usually forms on raindrops; it has a much wider span. The latter is caused by complicated wave optics effects, and forms only on small droplets, found in clouds and in fog.
Search "atmospheric optics" in Google; the first hit is an excellent website that explains what a rainbow is, what a glory is, how they are formed and how to recognize them - but there are lots of other interesting stuff there.

omg what does this mean?!?! It's a HOVERING RAINBOW!!!!!
-
@Dh3mani its light being refracted through tiny water droplets that form mist/clouds, not the actual cloud, but its made because of the cloud.

@hikersoul Also a rainbow is a cloud
All rainbows are actually full circles of light. When viewing them from the ground, they appear as a semi-circle due to the angle of sight.
