Erikucha I am Domincan and Puertorican and the most common term on both sides is Doobie if I've heard Tubi once or twice it's a lot. BUT... BUT BUT BUT she is absolutely right about it being done on hair that has been dried under the hood... It is indeed to give the style a longer lifetime.

El doobie is how we call it in Puerto Rico and it is done with a roller or not and can also be air dried to avoid anymore heat damage on your hair.
