Ford L9000 with a 318 detroit diesel

This is my dads Ford L9000 1979 with a barking old 318 detroit diesel. My dad was hauling silage for two days this is the retun trip back to the yard.This truck is a daily work horse still after 30 years !!!!!!! This is in Abbotsford BC Canada

Great vid! My dad had 79' Ford LTS 9000 with a 318 detroit diesel, 15 speed transmission. It also had a tri axle with a Belgium Standard dump box. He hauled gravel in the GTA out of Goodwood. The vid reminded me of going to work with him on PD days and Saturdays

Yeah i miss this engine sound it sounds sweet 15 speed at the time we had a 13 but good trucks and great motors

The Ford L9000 has to go down as one of the most reliable and toughest trucks ever.
