that is just beautiful. great work and thanks for sharing the instruction step by step video. However, most EL panel I found on ebay come with 12vDC inverter and the battery in the DX6i has only 6vDC. will it still be good enough?

@nguyentri01 i used a 12v inverter.... so it´ll be fine :-)

nice.. all 3 vids are nice..

TIP: next time compile them to ONE vid and one more tip : try a LiPo mod... , currently i am using a 7.2v (2 cell) 2200mAh 15c Lipo... works great

Why should i complete them to one vid? It is fine the way it is.

I thought about the Lipo mod but my nimh batteries have a capacity of real 3500mah. The batch says 3800mah. Can´t beat that with a Lipo in that size.

Do you use a regulator for it?

nice mods i like them, i also have a dx6i and i quite sure that the internal red led is a fault one, it like up when the transmitter is on AND there is a switch disconnected, i gussed this because i had a fault with one of my trip swithes and when i had some parts of the circuit unplugged it came on (when the tx was on), so im thinking thats its becasue you dissconnected your throttle kill switch,

The backlight mod works really well particularly for dusk and dark flying but after the mod I struggled a little to see the display at all in the daylight. I solved the problem by putting a piece of thin white copier paper between the backlight and the panel. Now I can see the display in daylight if I turn the backlight off (fitted a switch) and although the illumination is now somewhat dimmed by the paper it adds enough light when switched on to allow me to see what I'mm doing in the dark!
