how exactly is autism damaging?
i love being able to retreat in my own world: i never get bored, pain cant touch me (unless its really extreme offcourse, im no superman), insults slide right off, etc.
i dare bet many none autistics can only WISH they could do that
autism isnt a problem to those who have it, the others, they are the problem, for expecting things that are simply unrealistic, i mean if you know autistics and youd ask them if theyd wanna change others, how many would say yes? zero

@MaryOMackie - people that have an autistic child would never not want to recover their children, are you insane? I see what most parents with autistic children go thru and if there was a cure out there, or any treatments, Believe me they are doing all they can to help their kids try to overcome any obstacle that comes their way.
