Last week we celebrated the inauguration of a new president, as well as a gaggle of national and local officials, raising filipinos' hopes for change and improvement in our lives
Overseas, also last week, as it hosted the 2nd world cities summit... One city-state was celebrating its being ranked as asia's 'most liveable city.
That's not some minor distinction. With most of the world now living in cities, and our own philippine population now 60% urban and rapidly rising, the future of nations will be increasingly dependent on the success of its cities.
We'll present ten lessons to learn from Singapore.. Some of whose dramatic transformations i've actually been able to witness... Having lived and worked out of there for some 7 years. That's how quickly change happens in the Lion City... In contrast to here... Where the few discernible changes are rarely for the better.
