Musical Phrases, Written Phrases - Free-for-All (middle mayhem)

At the August, 2010 installment of Sunday Afternoons for Kids at the UCLA Armand Hammer Museum, 826LA (led by volunteer Brendan Carn) presented Musical Phrases, Written Phrases—essentially a experimental space where music gave birth to writing gave birth to music.

Midway through the workshop, we asked students to hand snippets of writing to the musicians to see how they (individually and as an ensemble) would interpret them. This is the finale of that verbal/musical jam session, where some twenty pieces of writing were converted into rapid-fire sound.
