Eureka's best upright model for 1972, dripping with all their most exclusive features: cord reel, two speed motor, Vibra Groomer I, Rugulator sliding height adjustment, headlight, mod box-top bag, and something new, the TOUCH POWER handle grip. Basically there is a momentary contact switch on the back of the grip. Squeeze the grip, cleaner comes on, release and it turns off. There was also a constant "on" setting on the switch for attachment use. While well intentioned, the handle grip switch was a pain in the ass, you had to hold the grip a certain way, and constantly squeeze to keep the cleaner running.
I found this in 2001 at a flea market. It is in absolutely beautiful shape. This cleaner won two blue ribbons at the 2004 VCCC convention in Chicago, Presidents Choice, and in the beater bar cleaning contest.
I think this might be the flashiest looking upright Eureka ever made.

  • It's no wonder this machine has been nicknamed the Cadillac el dorado of eurekas. Wow!

  • @whoisthisguy724 it is rather gaudy isn't it... the epitome of 1970's MOD!

  • I think I am the current owner of this machine.... :) Now I know why the machine turns on when its all the way up! I thought something was broken. Lol.

All I can say is... its one fantastic machine!

Did the bottom tag fall off? There doesn't seem to be one there. Just curious! :)

  • @Brandotuomikoski You may have a similar model, but this machine is still in my collection. I have no intention of ever letting it go.

  • @hoover1060 Ah.... I got mine from Greg Nunn. He said he got it from another collector.... and it looks so super similar... I thought maybe he got it from ya.

    ;) Awesome machine still!

  • @Brandotuomikoski He did get that from me. I gave that to him a few years back.

  • @hoover1060 Ah. Well he was needing to make room, and I took it home with me. Its such a fine machine. Love the sound of them. I think I found a new favorite. You, and the previous owner before ya took such care of the machine!

So I have to say thanks to you too! :)

  • Ah its so beautiful!

  • Ahh! I have one of these. I forgot all about it until I came across your video.

  • It will accept any front conversion Eureka attachment set
