Probably from the mid-80's. The rear bearing was so seized to the shaft that the whole bearing was turning within the motor housing. After oiling it runs like a champ.

  • Look what it reads on the box. American made. That's why it's still around today. I remember that model in school. The library had two of them. They are good fans.

  • i have the same one! the handle must have been made in china lol! its the only part of these fans that does not hold up!

  • These are good fans but the handles are a pain when they break

  • I have that same kind of box fan it was in the trash it is pretty beat up but still works great i wonder who would throw it out?

  • You are a fucking faggot freak. Who the fuck collects box fans? Get some pussy dude.

  • I have a Galaxy fan that looks exactly to the T as yours. I got it from my mom which she got from a yard sale. Mine has bushings in the motor though I've noticed and it seems I have to keep oiling it every few days. I love it though.

  • I got 2 of these.

  • I'm not 100% sure, but I think I had a fan like this when I was a kid. I know it was a galaxy, not sure what model or year. I got it from my great aunt, the bottom of the cabinet was all rusty and the plug was corroded so I moved the blades and motor to a new blue cabinet and it ran great for a few years even after sitting for so long without use. It seized up and I threw it away. It's a shame, some oil probably could have saved it.

  • My G-mas neighbor had one of these but it died and ended up in a trash compacter.

  • I didn't realize that fans in models are passed around as different models, I got a fan, same model number, and looks, only under the Super Electric (Canadian) name, handle was EXACTLY the same, just mounted an old knock-down furniture handle to a couple of skin board slats to the top and bottom to help carry it (said was made in Canada) the only thing that was different was the shape of the blades.

  • I had 2 of those fans a while back ago,grat fans!
