Needs spaced neoprene floats on the tether to stop it from fouling. Also a non-tethered ultrasonic command communications transceiver would be cool too. A diverged-beamwidth aqua-blue/green laser video uplink to surface vessel could handle large bandwidth video & telemetry from medium+ depths. LED IR illumination for IR video color cam would be awesome; would not disturb subject dark-water aquatic life.
