I imagine the helicopter controlled from the iPhone is a pretty good idea unless you're prone to dropping your phone...
Also - am I the only one who wonders why solar water heating/tiles aren't standard on all new house builds these days?

@tarfun5959 That would be implying the factories Apple use are their own factories, when in fact they're factories used by dozens of companies, which have already been proved to be above board and offer more facilities than most factories ever have... don't believe everything the press and blogs tell you...

@RyuDarragh I am looking forward to the day that it does happen buy in the meantime we are feeding up a society and govt thart thrives on abuse of its people. I dont think this is a good message to be sending nor for us to say to our people its ok to buy from idiots who abuse their people. Thats like saying to your kids its ok to steal and bully people in the next street because they dont live in our street.

@truthseekers666: If you study the situation you see those self same outsourcing hit spots being outsourced themselves as cheaper labor is sought elsewhere by the various outsourcing vendors themselves. In the end, it will spell the death of "Chinese Communism" more surely than any "blockades" or other sanctions ever could. That lone student in Tieneman Square was not the only way that such revolution happens. (2/2)

@truthseekers666: We're talking about the consequences of outsourcing here and not allegations that may or may not have any basis in reality. China is not alone in any of those alleged abuses and other countries where abuses become just as sinister seem to get a free pass. The US is one of the worst when it comes to violations of ethical standards and it's own Rule of Law protections. I despise outsourcing, but understand it's impossible to stop. (1/2)

@truthseekers666 Then lets not mention Tibet... and military officers beating up and sexually absuing children. No China is just hunky dory as long as you want your cheap iPhones and dont want jobs in countries that have unions and worker laws. Envrionmental alws in China are based on how much mercury do you want in your coffee sir, one lump or two. Lets be real here, China is backwards with some nice shiney cities making crap for the west. It needs to dump Communism and we need to blockade it.

@RyuDarragh Errrm, Chinas record for humanitarian attrocities is well known. Pluck off the street arrest and torture for protestors. Censorship of its internet and media. Live organ harvesting from protestors without anastetic. Workers forced to work in slave camps at gunpoint. Dont mention cruelty to animals, strangling dogs to increase the adrenaline to make meat all "tasty". Then China steals patented ideas and pirates everything under the sun. Workers unhappy make substandard products.
How can you plug the iPhone so often ethically when it's factories violate human rights to such a large extent and it's buisness parctices are also unethical.

@tarfun5959 A very interesting point. I don't think I 'plug' the iPhone, I use one, true, but I don't plug it
I am also confused that you think I am plugging it ethically, maybe you don't actually mean that. I don't think I'm saying 'use an iPhone because the means of production are so much more ethical than any other smart phone on the market.'
I can't help wondering what computer you are using to watch this YouTube video, do you have a source of ethically manufactured computers?
