Yeah guy if you were born in japan and you were of nigerian background, Japanese would be your nationality, and Nigerian would be your ethnic background, its a very simple concept. They weren't raised in Nigeria they dont have Nigerian passports/citizenship their culture is that of their society , which would be whatever society they were brought up in, in this case American. dueces
Nothing wrong with calling yourself Nigerian American if you are one. -__- People can be both nationalities. It has to do with your identity and how you culturally view yourself. To limit yourself to just one, when you're obviously both, is kinda unfair to the other. A different example would be African Americans. Not African or American, but both. But I will admit things do change when you travel internationally, because whatever passport(s) you carry is what you'll be considered.
