  • What a legendary movie! I watched this so many times as a kid, and was always so deeply moved and saddened. Watched Johnny Clegg last night, and when they played this song it brought back all the emotion.

Now I need to try get a copy of the movie!

  • The closest modern breed to the old 'bull and terrier' is the Staffordshire Bull terrier so for all intents and purposes the Jock was a staff. The staff is a direct descendant.

The Bull and terrier was breed from the old English white terrier and the Bulldog, this is a Staffordshire bull terrier by everything but name

The attributes of Jock will be very familiar to any staff owner

  • RIP Jonathan Rands, great actor

  • dont make films as good as this anymore , so damn friggn sad :'C

  • @bamduvett it will they have to make the film acceptable for children so you wont see the african man over come slave laybour and get his revenge like in this version of the film or jock have a fight with the baboon and jocks owner in the animation movie aint even irish but i gues kids will injoy the film all what matters

  • proudly South African !!!

  • hope the new 3d animation movie doesn't let this epic story down. The film in the 80's was brilliant. I got tears welling up now!

  • Such a brilliant film!

I watched it many times. And every time you'd think you'd get used to the movie and not get so emotional. But every time I eatched it, it's the same thing. And this shows how well made this movie was.

  • Such a brilliant film!
