QuanBei Village, Shandong Province, China
It is traditional to wear for both boys and girls, and the insoles are said to make people happy. The artist, Li Ruo Fen, uses a cross-stitch pattern in cotton to embroider images. Her mother used to do embroidery using silk thread that she said was very beautiful as silk is thinner, brighter, and stronger.
