ahhhhhh, if all goes to plan one of these will be mine march 2012... I got the 1200S in 2007 with full sports pack and it was just the best road bike ud ever want. Only ever had my knee down on the road on two bikes in my time a NSR250 MC18 and a R1200S......

just a different bike. if all bmw was going to do was to sell the best bike, they'd only have one bike for sale...different strokes for different folkes ya dig?

The point is to be able to compete in world superbike and also to break into the supersport bike mainstream among comsumers. Chain driven inline four 1000cc bike to compete with the japanese liter bikes as well as more exotic bikes like the RSV4, F4 RR 312 and 1198. From the looks of it and the reviews it's doing a good job too.
