  • Can't recall answering this query but YES it will work with 120v Coil AND close on power off, That's called "Normally Closed" NOTE solenoid valves can allow backward flow if there is any back pressure when off so if that's he case fit a Non return valve.

    Besides that could a 120 volt ac version on this valve in Stainless Steel be set to automatically close upon the termination of power. I would like to use a valve like this when cleaning vegetable oil or waste motor oil transmission fluid to be used as a diesel fuel at a remote unmanned facility so in the event of a power outage, the valve would prevent oil feeding into the centrifuge & either cause a major spill or contaminate good oil.
