This was a film in which I was the Director of Photography.

It was directed by my good friend Patrick Collier. The cast in the film was Evan Adams, Bronwyn MacLeod, and Sam Odell.

It was an amazing film to work on, and lifetimes of memories. Ill be sure to post more info about its release and other such things.

Enjoy!

P.s. This was filmed on my DVX-100b with a 35mm adapter, It hasn't really been Color corrected and other stuff so excuse any imperfections.

Patrick edited the film/trailer as well.

  • did you have to work on the storyboard along with the director and plan all the shoots as director of photograpy man?

  • @contentera

Absolutely, lots of pre-production and collaboration went into the shots and script even from my end, not that some of the things i helped with are expected by the DP, but at least the shots, story boarding, lighting, and anything visual is collaborated extensively with the DP before the shoot, along with other members of the crew. You can even see some of the story-board photos I created on my flickr: flickr(dot)com/stevegriggs/sets/72157623940664200/

  • the video is good on looks.. but the whole trailer is clips from the same baseball game, and doesn't hint much to what the movie/show/short is about... obviously baseball related, but what about it??

  • Yeah I know, I didn't edit the trailer, I just shot the film. But it wasn't even really intended to be much of a "trailer" more or less just to get friends and people excited about it and look at the pretty images lol.

  • looks real good steve, too bad like none of the actors look like theyve played baseball

  • Yeah... thats because they dont, they were all theater students at an art school and had never thrown a baseball, but they did a pretty amazing job for the little they knew, plus we did a good job in faking and tricking their performance in the shots. But either way, I know the trailer says nothing about the story of the film, but in the actual film they're not suppose to be good at baseball, like a lame extra high school team for the kids who couldn't make it in varsity haha.
