This clip is a portion of the Documentary called "Hacking Democracy." The video represents a similar situation during the May 10, 2010 Philippine Elections. This video does not intend to accuse any Candidate of election fraud but to shed light on how election results can be manipulated to favor those who can afford. Perhaps this can help open the minds of the Filipino people to the vulnerabilities of Automated Elections in an unfortunately corrupt country.

back to the machine, they are the right counting machine.

here comes the comparison. IS THIS MACHINE a PCOS, for by looking at it its a different Voting counting machine. with a security issues in terms, because you can program through the CF card how the vote are being casted, pde mo ma dagdag bawas ito.

dami nagalit sakin, wheew sabi pa iba tanga ko daw, ano nangyari sa demo sa cabuyao, it was all as clear as crystal, ano pa sabi ni locsin, after all those issue was highlighted, and all the possible scenario were raised but it was all tested, and the smartmatic and their system proved that indeed theres no way to hack or fraud the system and if mistakes to happen, it will always leave a trace, thru machine logs. You can say what you want. But I believe FRAUD in the system and hacking was HOAX.

This is very misleading. You cannot apply this scenario with the 2010 Elections in the Philippines because the computer system they used is different from Smartmatic's system. The technology may be similar, but Smartmatic has done some proprietary changes.

@Lerdy KAYA INFAVOR AKO, na kung sakali man may election uli, I would definitely let this PEOPLE from SMARTMATICS be the operator of the server, rather than trust it completely sa Comelec, one point SMARTMATICS, reputation is always at stakes, so i dont think they will do something stupid that their future endeavor will be stained, at the same time lost its credibility to the other prospects country. imagine if they do this right imagine ilang 10B ba makita nila sa ibang bansa. @Lerdy by the time makuha mo ito, may isang pinaka balakid na kailangan mo i forsee, ang REPORT, remember every transaction naka log yan sa comelec by the time makuha mo ang sinasabi ko sa taas, cgurado ako may report na yan papuntang comelec na this pcos, sims, modem were considered loss, and subject for invistigation. by the time this report reaches smartmatics, they will surely, configure the system that it wont accepts any transmission coming from this PCOS and SIM. nakuha mo ang point ko.

@Lerdy if you tried to manipulate the system it will be big, first you have to have a PCOS with preprogrammed Encryption system inside the motherboard, in short kailangan naka program nato ng smartmatics, second, ang modem at sim ng smartmatics, you have to consider as well that the server will only accepts intermission coming from a sim number supplied by smartmatics, 4th balota, PCOS machine can only read ballots with barcode designed by smartmatics, security feature din ito.
