This guy passed 1000 feet below my 152 just north of Olympia, Washington. I was at 4500 and he was at 3500. It was totally legal in terms of separation, but still kinda freaky knowing how easily those 4 engines could have chewed me up and spit me out.

  • Does wake turbulence extend behind a jet totally radially or just directly behind?

i/e 360 degrees around it rather than on a single plane (no pun intended) behind it?

  • @Amtrak1194 It will fall below the airplane and go wherever the winds takes it, but it stays on a lateral plane with the wingtips basically

  • @onthebaynow Hey jackass my Magnetic heading was between 180 and 359. And the West is Best East is Least thing is used to determine Magnetic VARIATION and not cruising altitude. But thanks for watchin the video!! My wallet appreciates it :) Now go be a douchbag somewhere else

  • @yellowmusicfreak I can tell neither you or the guy below your comment are pilots. That was WAY too freaking close for comfort.

  • Close? Ya that was pretty scary lol give me a break

  • This is a neat video, but calling it a "close call" is ridiculous.

  • I prefer 172, 152 is just too on the edge, and cramped.

I always watch like a Hawk regardless.

Some of our friends went head on downtown StPaul.

    Both in small craft.

I really don't like sky scrapers right below me on final.

  • As you get more into your aviation career you'll fly across the North Atlantic and the Pacific on airways where the airspace is designated RVSM, or reduced vertical separation minimums. Traffic on the track is going both ways, and with GPS guidance you will get used to passing traffic head on 1,000' above and below you going the opposite direction. With both of you going close to 600 mph it will be breathtaking! I'm often tempted to take my video camera but am too lazy!

  • @kawadude111 yea i can keep it up im still a young buck that likes to fuck

  • @alaskanthizzlam you do realise it doesn't matter how many views he has it just the fact he gets sponsored to put adverts on you idiot

  • @Domin8r719 Keep it up

  • @alaskanthizzlam You don't have any friends do you? :( Ill be your friend! I forgive you for all the negative things you have said too :)
