Captain America is consider one of the many best comic book characters ever made and is in sixth place on IGN as one of the best comic book heroes ever. Steve Rogers/Captain America is a marvel WWII base hero that became popular in the 1940 and came back in the the 1950s working with numerous superheroes in the Avengers and fighting against numerous villains. I became a huge fan of the character after reading Captain America: The Winter Soldier Storyline for the comics which was possibly in my humble one of the many best comic book storyline ever made and written. I recommand those interested in learning or understanding Captain America's character to go and read it and see the new movie. Captain America recently had a movie which came out this year which is called Captain America: The First Avenger. Captain America: The First Avenger is consider so far to be both a critical and financial success and will be seen again in The Avengers movie coming out this year. He is the Sentinel of Liberty for those that are under tyranny, oppression and corruption. He is the First Avenger...He is Captain America
