never thought i'd find here this song when i dared to typewrite the title...

i used to play it again and again ("eyes wide shut"!!!... and loved at first listening (a double white lp womad collection of rare performances sung by peter gabriel, peter hamill, shankar -not ravi!- on double violin... and lots of Artists !...) then i tape recorded it but nowadays impossible to play tapes...

One night in 1982 or so, somebody put this on on WBUR, the Boston University radio station just as we were getting off on some MIT-produced ecstacy (which was still legal then!) and the Rubber Rat Ranch exploded with pleasure...this is still so very fine. Thanks for posting this, haven't heard it in SO long.

@Chocie965 The WOMAD album referred to is Music and Rhythm (from 1982) and the Shankar is L Shankar who played with John McLaughlin, Frank Zappa, and Peter Gabriel amongst others. Always loved this song and loved the fact Holger Czukay created it from analog (tape) sampling of random searches on shortwave radio. Thanks for posting.
