I think you are as absolutist as any believer I have ever met... You are a twin brother to the believers.... so funny, nIetzche would probably think.

could you please explain your "belief" in neuro chemicals? have you ever yourself, seen a neuro-chemical? I ask you as a "religious non-believer".

@warmsteel "There are the apocrypha - the un-canonised parts of the bible that did'nt made it into the bible because of the counsil of Nicea." The Council of Nicea had nothing to do with biblical canonization. The Bible had already been set in place for hundreds of years prior to its convening. We know this because of the surviving letters of the early church fathers.
-
@warmsteel Also the reason most books that we now collectively refer to as the Apocrypha, were rejected was because they contained blatantly obvious chronological, historical, geographical, or doctrinal errors. They weren't "voted out" by a group of negotiators in some smoke filled room or something.
-
@Treefrogs2 no, just that atheists reject THAT drug. Just because I don't smoke, could you therefore infer that I don't drink?
-
@hoodmilk Yeah. Yavhe in the bible is kind of cruel xD
But you're right, I called/calls myself a christian because I admire and want to follow Jesus's teachings. Still, I've studied buddhism, nordic mythology, native, greek mythology, a bit daoism and new age. Unlike most people in my church I'm positive and open minded to most ways, even atheism. xD I've accepted Jesus in my life, so that makes me a christian, but really, I'm more of an agnostic who is inspired by alot of diferent beliefs.
-
@warmsteel Of course I'm generalizing.
The Christians who define god the way he's actually described in the bible are considered nut jobs by most other "Christians." All I'm saying is some people want something to believe in, and instead of actually making their own decision about which is the best god / religion for there actual beliefs they just call themselves "Christian," because it's easier mentally and socially.

Svara på det här videoklippet... Research the apocrypha and search for "Thibetan Gospel" in google if you don't belive me. Also, even the most sceptical, serious, non-christian scholar who've done all the research have to conclude that Yeshua, or someone like him existed. Type in the quest for historical Jesus, search Jesus in Kashmir, the Jesus Seminary (Serious non-christian scholars who search for the historical Jesus).
I challenge you to do that. I'm not a christian, but agnostic.
-
@TheSupremeSkeptic No. There are the apocrypha - the un-canonised parts of the bible that did'nt made it into the bible because of the counsil of Nicea. The Gospel of Thomas, for example, or the gospel of Mary Magdalene which reamins only as a few verses, even 14 gospels in THIBET and alot of history in Iran, Kashmir and India about Jesus (although in Iran and Kashmir Jesus is called Yus Assaf, mening 'leader of the healed'.
In India and Thibet he was called Issa or Isa. Jesus existed.
