tribute to laripsspiral

Often when I listen to laripsspiral's heavy music I want to tune my own guitar down to a dropped-tuning and turn the gain-pot all the way up in my amp. Then I play one or two riffs for one or two hours and my neighbours really love me.

So here's a modest tribute to his fine guitar-sounds, riffs and vids. Thanks laripsspiral!

I wanted to get this done effortelssly so I just plugged my guitar to my computer and used plain plugin-sounds and the first decent drumloop I could find. Once I get the guitar modded I will make new vids with tube-amps and real miking etc... Today I learned to use PIP, though! Still tumbling a lot with audio-video syncs, I wish it was easier :/

Here's the signal-path:

cheap wolf stock guitar --> "Behringer Tube Ultragain MIC100"-preamp --> Mindprint trio mixer line input and A/D converter --> garageband plugin

the sound is really a software-amp here. If you want, I can take screenshots of the settings because garageband seems not to be able to export settings.

wolfi. lentorahdattuna oli 250 mutta kontissa noita on tullu öbaut satkun halvemmalla. omani on vielä erinomainen yksilö, oisin tyytyväinen tuohon kitaraan vaikka ois ollu ykkönen edessä tuohon numeroon....

ja mielellänihän minä johonkin biisiin featuroisin! ja siinä tapauksessa panostaisin kyllä soittoon ja soundiin, tää oli pikanen kokeilu vain :)
