Gernsbacher was the article Christschool thinks talks truthfully on ABA.

It mentions Smith's replication with 13% recovery & is scientifically valid in every aspect, but intervention was 25 hrs a wk.

The more intervention the better as Lovaas' 1987 & 1993 article just as scientific & though not random in selection was evaluated by Donald M. Baer (founder of ABA) & found random by him. For Lovaas 47% recovered because they got 40 hrs a wk or more.

Perhaps those who wish 2 define themselves as perfectly fine with no need of being seen different R hardly disabled, but that doesn't mean those who have real problems can't learn & succeed in life.

Those who want people who R failing 2 learn 2 learn & succeed can find ABA techniques as useful 4 defining methods that all people (disabled or not) & animals learn through exposure w/ intent & control.

Answer: Operant & Classical conditioning.

U used more than a magazine. U used video of Ricky who did not know how 2 talk @ all & as an adult he could talk thanks 2 Lovaas.

U see Ricky couldn't speak because he was disabled like my 2 nephews, Not like U.

U learned w/o intervention because U aren't as low functioning. It's a spectrum disorder. Lovaas helped more disabled then U. People w/ children "really" disabled want something that works not hot air.

The video made of Lovaas was taken strictly from the Life Magazine article, so if Lovaas has a problem with it, he can sue the owner of that magazine. Reporting the truth whether in print or video is not subject to defamation and is protected speech. Perhaps if you care so much about disabled people, you'll ask Lovaas to stop doing research supporting shock treatment at the Judge Rotenberg Center. Lovaas study was phoney and Lovaas admits today there were serious flaws. No videos is telling

Also, I hope you can get people to think about disabilities different in terms of scientifically proven interventions as I'm sure that matters to you if your child fails to learn to talk and bangs his head against a corner of a table.

U can make your fancy videos on Lovaas, but the fact remains that the children learned 2 talk or at least 90% did.

ABA 47% recovered. ABA replication. The other interventions can't even get the 1st article published that stands B4 peer scrutiny.

Difference is ABA 4 autism has results. Like U can't deny bread, cars, & aeroplanes.
