@basmithtx they think it is... the pretenders i mean. This man has no useful knowledge whatsoever. He didn't even't explain planck's constant! He focused on the damn number and didn't even mention how ridiculously important it is in physics! Its the minimum unit (quantum) of nature!

@itzahazylife Ok, yes your definition of "theory" is correct, but that doesn't excuse the fact that M-theory is based off of no data. String theory BEST describes what quarks are made of...but has no data for it. That means M-theory (which digs DEEPER into string theory) is based off of no data.... this is what we call in Science a "logical fallacy." You can't begin to consider the deeper idea before proving the first to be a viable, testable theory.

You don't understand the nature of theories..Theories are explanations which best account for the data we collect..M theory is the best possible explanation we have for the known data, period..Got something better?

@itzahazylife And who are you to say I don't know what I'm talking about? The fact that M-theory is based off of string theory, which is based off of the fact that we don't know what exactly composes all known quarks and leptons makes it complete nonsense. You need to first prove that STRING theory is real, before you can use it to base ANOTHER theory (M-Theory) I will also have you know that I am in my third year of Theoretical Physics in university. Nice try though.
