the Coinage act of 1965 says that pennies are legal tender for for all DEBTS, public charges, taxes and dues. You buying popcorn and soda from the store does not put you into DEBT with them thus giving them the right to refuse your payment type. but they didnt know better, and ended up counting the money like dumbasses.

try this at walmart or any other big retailer and theyll kick you out of the sore in a heart beat. Paying with pennies is only bullet proof when settling a DEBT.
