@Timeflare123 Totally agree with this line of thinking. Bought Mass Effect 2. Played it for 10 minutes. Realized it had a huge back story I really should experience to get the most out of the sequel. Bought the original Mass Effect. Playing it now. Wise move. Puts everything in perspective. No regrets. One brilliant franchise.

In my opinion, you should play through the first one before the second. Not only will you appreciate the second one more, you will also get a better grasp of the story. Plus, you can load up your character from the first game to play in the second. You can find Mass Effect for probably 20 dollars or less.
