This is the first of a series of eight memorable classes taught by H.H. Swami Chinmayananda during the 1975 Vedanta Spiritual Camp at Humboldt State University. In this class Swamiji introduces the students to the vision of the Upanishads as they are found in the end of each one of the four Vedas. Their content addresses the human pursuit of seeking a Self which is free from limitations.

Thank you for immortalizing Swami Chinmayananda. His eloquence has surpassed any of the professors I have heard thus far. I was smitten by his vast knowledge of Vedanta after attending a series of his lectures in Trinidad in 1965. I was 13. Several years later I listened with rapt attention to a similar series at the University of Toronto. My opinion of his oratory gifts has never changed-only he can expound on the subtleties of Hinduism to the Western mind. Hari Om Swamiji.

Eye opener to me from this materialistic life. Spiritual life is the True Life without Illusion.
But True Knowledge is Not for everyone, but for them Who Seek.
I love and Admire Swami Chinmayananda for his Knowldge and Gift of speech to educated people to realise this life.
