Watch in high quality!

Have you ever wondered, how long it would take, to go from one side of Middle-earth, to another? Find out the answer, while enjoying a ride across the world of Lord of the Rings Online.

I hope this documentary will be of some use for newcomers and people, who are interested, yet undecided about trying out the game! No cuts (unless necessary) and original in-game sounds, lag included, the journey is not an attempt to set any records in speed; sometimes I take a longer route to visit key locations we all know from the books.. the estimated time is 1h 40min so get some popcorn and enjoy the sights! :)

A journey that takes you from the halls of Thorin's Gate in the Blue Mountains, through the idyllic fields of the Shire, visiting Tom Bombadil in the menacing Old Forest, finding your way in the mists of the barrow downs, to take a rest in the inn of the Prancing Pony, in Bree. Passing by Weathertop, as the road winds up and down through the Lone Lands, until the Last Bridge is lost in the distance, behind the wild forests and hills of the Trollshaws. Crossing the ford of Bruinen and rushing up hill, finding secret paths to finally take a short rest in the Hall of Fire of the Last Homely House in Rivendell, as a guest of Elrond. Riding through the drake and worm infested Giant Valley, and crossing the beautiful, yet dangerous Eriador, watched by the three menacing peaks of the Misty Mountains to finally arrive at the Walls of Moria.

Passing the dark of the mines prooves a deadly challenge, for the Fellowship stirred up all kinds of evil creatures, while the bottomless pits are as treacherous as ever..

Greeted by the breath of fresh air at the East-gate of Khazad-dûm, and nightly stars above and below, in the still waters of Mirrormere, riding forth in the moonlight forest of Lothlórien, guarded by the noble elves. The city of Caras Galadhon, home of Lady Galadriel, seems just a stone throw away from the banks of Anduin, the Great River... and on the shores of this mighty stream, the journey comes to an end.. for now.

  • u should do this with mirkwood it will most likely only take 1 more part or 10 more minutes just a suggestion.

  • @bidalorm I had a shot at it some months ago, but couldn't decide on a nice route, Mirkwood has so many different landscapes clumped close together, I'd have to run in circles haha. Maybe I'll do it some day.

  • Miss the old hobbit running animation :(

  • @XrandomkX The animation is again changed in the next expansion this Fall, as seen in the current beta. It looks much better than the one that's in live version.

  • Your hero has a hat with feather like musketeer! And Middle-Earth is so peaceful land...No enemies at all!

  • @Alenari12 A hobbit musketeer indeed ^^ and there are many monsters, I just took the main roads most of the time. Besides, the monsters fear my feather, and my level lol.

  • Not played this in ages. Are there plenty of people still playing this ? I'm not even sure what my old account was called.

What drove me mad was the unfair trading system where the greedy raw material suppliers charged so much, that my weapons were too expensive to sell. I was operating at loss the whole time. At least until we formed groups and swapped internally. Free market trading didn't always work.

  • you do realize that you look CONSIDERABLY similar to Puss 'N Boots don't you?

  • @Kkosta actually 4 hobbits were 1. Peregrin Took,2. Meriadoc Brandybuck, 3.Bandobras Took and actually Bilbo Baggins supposidly was about 4 foot tall just tall enough to ride a horse

  • 3:36 omg that poop must have hurt

  • @jakascott21 nop
