No need to touch just give it a wave!

Just wave your hand to access music, web, your family and friends. You don´t even need to touch the surface.
Gesture Cube uses 3D spatial movement tracking to help transform navigating a device into a magical intuitive experience. The underlying GestIC® technology detects your hand´s approach and movements - your favorite apps and media all at a wave of your hand.

The Gesture Cube ...
..is not just technology for techs sake. It is thoughtfully designed and deeply rooted in a genuine understanding of consumers expectations and needs. We have explored the possibilities of 3D technology to craft a product experience that is so intuitive its almost magical. Using natural gestures to control our electronics helps to draw them closer to our natural behaviour, making things easier and more fun. The result is an intelligent product concept with unlimited possibilities for enhancing daily life with effortless interaction. The Gesture Cube´s design is simple yet so beautiful it doubles as a sculptural icon in your living space.

Technology
GestIC® electric field sensing technology makes 3D spatial hand or finger movement tracking possible. GestIC® detects movements and distances in 3D space and provides the technical backbone for Gesture Cube´s 3D user interface. GestIC® enables touchfree three-dimensional gesture control on 2D screens from mobile phones, tablet PCs, picture frames and MP3 players all the way to 3D devices like Gesture Cube. Let Gesture Cube inspire you!

Let Gesture Cube inspire you.

Gesture Cube is a joint development by three partnering companies: IDENT Technology AG delivered the underlying touch-free GestIC® technology used in Gesture Cube. Design company LUNAR Europe created the overall product design. User interface studio ZINOSIGN® designed Gesture Cubes user interface and website.

  • looks cool ... but pretty useless.

I dont want to carry this across my apartement.

Gesture capability and more Multimedia capabilities of LCD TV's would be far more interesting than just another device

  • Ina Ming - Imagination

Is that a made up song? I can't find it, I love the synth-like marimba and the breakbeat it pretty awesome!

  • this is such a great idea although it looks a bit fake.

it would be cool if their was actually a release date and people would have it

  • Wow, this is really inconvenient. This wouldn't work at all.

  • as a novelty yes, as a useful product im not sure. why a cube?

  • @bonesi Then... dont carry it around... just keep it in 1 spot... Glad I could help

  • @GestureCube This is a cool tech demo, however as an actual product its like a super expensive ipad that isn't very portable and doesn't have nearly as much usefulness and the only upside is that you don't have to directly touch it? I can't imagine you can produce this thing for any less then $1500. Also i can't give you credit for creative design since I feel the entertainment cube concept is a cliche concept from like 10 years ago.

  • Looks pretty cool,, in kitchen.

But I think I want to touch the cube directly.

  • lemme know if you want my friend's opinion on it. he does a lot of futuristic concept development stuff and is like a god in that field. I don't mean it in a bad way but he'd be able to take your cube concept and turn it into something more refined and practical at least conceptually, but again, don't take it the wrong way I think your idea is sweet!

  • this is just me but its pointless it being a cube if i was to improve it by making it a big tablet

  • Personally I think idea is great, though to me I would much rather use it on a flat surface for most. The multi-display is very awesome. I could seriously see myself using this.

  • what a nifty concept! How much?
