THE USSR COLLASPED MAINLY BECAUSE THE CITZENS OF THE OTHER REMAINING 14 OR 15 SOVIET REPUBLICS WANTED THIER FREEDOM.THEY WANTED TO GOVERN THEMSELVES,AS WITHIN RUSSIA HERSELF.THE HUGE MAJORITY OF THE RUSSIAN PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY MADE IT CLEAR THAT THEY NO LONGER WANTED TO LIKE SLAVES AGAINST THIER WILL.AND BESIDES,BORIS YELTSIN HIMSELF NEVER BELIEVED IN SOCIALISM ANYWAY-HE JUST JOINED THE CPSU TO SEEK EVEN GREATER OPPORTUNITIES.
