Great video! It's so interesting to see, and not just read about, how tsunami's actually hit the shore. Thanks for getting out there and taping this.

Thanks for posting this. My parents live right by there (Del Monte and Pebble Beach Dr.)-and I didn't see any news footage from there.

wow. the rocks are different at Point Saint George...
The stair case hides well.
I can only imagine what Agates and other neat rocks and things will show up.
I wish I was still in CC.

Is this at Endert Beach?

This is Point St George.
How large did the swell end up being?
I heard as little as 3ft from the first surge to as large as 15ft from the bigger surge and 7ft swells will continue throughout the day/night....I got my news from a fisherman out at sea.

@AmandaCortese88: It's actual Pebble Beach south of the split staircase. The last I heard the biggest ones were in the 8 foot range, but there were many all day, starting with an 8 foot surge this morning at low tide and ending with another 8 foot surge this evening around 5 pm at high tide. We just got the all clear to go back to our homes.

@AmandaCortese88: Also, we're hearing that the fishermen that are out to sea can't come back to the harbor because there is no harbor. The Coast Guard has to figure out how to get fuel to them so they can make it to Eureka.

Dam that rose faster then I thought. Somebody give me a link if they find any footage from the city.

@kaseymiller there have been a couple videos of the harbor (which is pretty much gone now), but none of town because it never reached town. The surges reached the S curves at Elk Creek and the Thai House, but I don't believe there has been any structural damage except in the harbor basin.
