  • Shenandoah, both the 1960s film and the 1970s stage musical, was an anti-Vietnam War piece that used the period of the Civil War as a way to make its message more palatable to Americans. And I agree, pudgeuncle, it definitely is timely now.

  • I loved the original Broadway show and it deserves to be revived with better production values. This song is especially timely.
