SEE ALSO: KEEPON -- I just had to make a parody of the incredible Keepon! Hideki Kozima's research on behavior and autistic kids is amazing. His understanding of play is what inspired me most. A robot with no appendages dances joyfully and interacts with children. The robot doesn't seem capable of passing judgment. It also has the ability to make eye contact.

Pair that with Marek Michalowski's amazing programming and you've got a living creature! Michalowski programs the Keepon as artistically as a choreographer would direct a human dancer, but with more consistent results.

My "robot," on the other hand, has only one purpose: entertainment. It's marshmallow and needs to be eaten either before or after you ignite it. I make food sculptures, and this just seemed like a good fit. It's a small appendage-less yellow bird that needed a reason to dance. Enjoy!
