This live version is indeed a good deal sweeter than the studio record, although who would complain about ANY experience of listening to a raaga performance by KG. In our classical music we used to assign genders and generational designations to melodic arrangements-- thus raagas, raaginis and their putras! (raaginis were even depicted in miniature paintings as delicate young beauties). Here Raaga Nand's muscular yet tender and smooth form has become incarnate in the person of KG. Thank you.
Raju - very nice recording.. where and when was it recorded? BTW, can you please correct the spelling of Kumarji's name in your clips? It should be spelt "Gandharva"! Thanks for doing this.
Fabulous rendering! Equally good is the madhyalaya provided by Late Vasantrao Achrekarji. What one hears is the combined effect of Excellent rendering+perfect laya+ excellent matched and tuned tanpuras. That was always Kumarji's 'khaasiyat' in all his presentations.Simply 'out of world'!
With many thanks for this wonderful upload, I would like to ask again, where and when did Panditji sing this? Only for the matter of interest of course.

Who is providing the vocal support? Is it Vasundhara Shrikhande / Mrs. Kumar Gandharva? I like this better than the studio version.

I will be highly obliged if any one can provide Pt. Ji 's Bhajan "Aaj mujhe raghubar ki sudh aayee" sung with Vaundhara Ji on You Tube.
