The Jordan River Singers - 'A Taste of The Jordan River'.
The Gospel group, The Jordan River Singers, proudly presents its first album 'A Taste of The Jordan River'.This Gospel music production is the result of the enthousiasm of the public, who has motivated the group to continue singing, since their first performance.The establishment of the group took place on December 1, 2007. The Jordan River Singers consists of the following vocalists:
Stan (Stanley)Faria, Eric Suyderhoud, Roy Beek, Glenn Levant and Marlon Marcet.
During rehearsals Henk Bruinings accompanies the group on his guitar and during performances he operates as the sound technician.
The Jordan River Singers distinguish themselves from other traditional Gospel groups by extending their repertoire of Gospels, Spirituals, Evergreens, Modern songs and Surinamese folk songs, with Modern Soul songs, arranged in a new style.
The names of the members of the group are now household names in the Gospel World. Stan (Stanley) Faria, Eric Suyderhoud, and Marlon Marcet are all ex-members of a well-known Gospel Group. Even Glenn Levant has, for many years, sung in close harmony groups.
Roy Beek is an upcoming gospel artist. He has primarily performed as a Kaseko artist.
The Jordan River Singers have frequently been a guest at several events, such as 'The Kwakoe festival 2008' (Surinamese Cultural event in Amsterdam) and The Frankendael Park event (Park in Amsterdam). The theme of this event was: 'Poetry in the Park', in connection with the Amsterdam World Book-City event. The group has also performed in the 'Stopera' (Amsterdam Townhall/Opera hall), in connection with the the 'Senior Citizens' Day.'
Furthermore, the group frequently performs locally and one can also hear and see them perfom in other parts of the country; such as at party centres or at private occasions in homes and livingrooms when they are hired to liven up the celebration of a birthday or an aniversary. They repeatedly receive much praise for their performances.

As a consequence of the many successes and the official release of their CD album, the group was also invited for interviews at radio stations, such as 'Radio Sunshine', 'Radio Shirityo Makandra' and 'The World Broadcasting Station' throughout the entire country.
The World Broadcasting Station frequently plays their CD on the radio. Many more CDs are in the pipeline.
Furthermore, Christmas concerts have recently been held in pastor Muler's church in Rotterdam, on December 21.
