  • This is a really good speech. I think that that the United Nations understand this message and it's importance. Cheers and God Bless.

  • This woman has to be one of the most successful and important leaders and public figures we have ever had. God Bless the Queen and all her peoples.

  • @jackooboy1 The concept of Devine Right to Rule means that the Monarch has been chosen by God to riegn and that their power is absolute, unchallengable and unquestionable. This concept has not existed in the UK since the execution of King Charles I.

Whatever the motto of the Royal Family may be that does not change the fact that they are answerable to the Public and the Governments they reign over, that they take their power from consent of the people not from devine quarters

  • @11nytram11 Even if you want to reduce royals to a "tradition," you'll notice the royal family's motto is "Dieu et mon droit" which literally translates to "God and my right," a direct reference to divine right of kings which has been used officially since King Henry the V... not to mention the whole idea that the queen continues to be the "supreme governor" or the Church of England. I understand her role has been watered down, but the concept of divine right still exists as well as aristocracy.

  • @jackooboy1 The Royal Family of Great Britain does not rule because of Devine right. That "right", if you know your history, was rendered obsolete with the beheading of King Charles I. The Monarch holds their position because Parliament and the people want them to. Precident for the removal of a British Monarch after they had lost the support of the people was set by the Glorious Revolution of 1688. The rules of succession are decided by Parliament, not through any Devine Right.

  • well said. i fantastic speech!

  • @Rich8951 That's true. In England we believe in Government by Consent. We can and, have rise up and remove Kings who refuse to keep the laws and customs of this Realm

  • @elton1981

Only for as long as the unfortunate people who suffer because of her put up with it. Then, things are not as they seem.

  • @boynton20

The Queen is a mixture of German and Jew.

  • @jackooboy1

The Queen has power because of all the money her family plundered while getting the "commoners' killed in economic wars.

    It is ridiculous.
