This is a time-lapse capture of the Snowmelt Cam (1/27), in case you missed the live, real-time, 14 hour and 45 minute broadcast! Your patience has paid off, as each broadcast hour now takes under three seconds to watch. I set up the process in the family room at 7:40, then moved the laptop and camera to our dining room to look out the front window. I had my video mirrored (works better that way for Skype), and I'm shooting through a screen, since the camera USB cord wasn't long enough to reach above the screen. Also, after dark you see the reflection of the camera and the blue light. From about 9:30 to the end, you can see me helping DM on his science project, meaning I'm cutting up paper for his presentation board as he fades. So sleepy!
I used YawCam (www.yawcam) for the webcam/time lapse capture. Three thumbs up for that program!
I used MonkeyJam (http://www.giantscreamingrobotmonkeys.com/monkeyjam/) to build an avi file from the 1285 jpeg images. DM also uses MonkeyJam for his Stop Motion projects.
I used the Aimersoft DVD Converter Suite (http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-converter-suite.html) to get a high-quality mpg conversion.
