Psychedelic colours showed up on the mat of polar stratospheric clouds or nacreous clouds in Niemiskylä, Kiuruvesi, Finlandm Dec 23 2006. I photographed it by Olympus C-765 and made a time-lapse film.
Sun had set. Cloud flows from west and anyone can see it wave and still colours nearly stand still.

Stunning capture--does remind me of aurora. Such pearlescent beauty...adding to favorites. Would love to see something like this, not a chance, here in Texas. :(

I haven't seen these either. But i have heard that they are like aurora borealis;
Camera just can't show their's full beauty. (And i have seen aurora borealis. And they are marvellous.)
