ALiVE 036 features sure footed label favourite, Teva, who recently evaded crisis in the Eurozone and returned safely to Blighty. But one night in Paris left our boy infected by a little oh la la, which was the inspiration behind this 'Paris At Night EP'.

There's plenty on offer in this release - 'Must I Go' and 'She's Playing (Version 2) have that classic warehouse rhythm, whilst Version 1 is a little more uplifting - with Teva putting his classically trained piano fingers to good use throughout.

Lurking under a pile of old newspapers in a Bristol back alley is not your usual domicile for a couple of seasoned producers; but don't be put off by the smell or the toothless grins because the Waifs & Strays (Hot Creations, Futureboogie) can turn out a tune as good as any. Their '2 Drops of Acid' mix strips back the original and adds; well, two drops of acid with the precision of a pipette wielding professor.
