Shayera recalls her rocky romance with John and through the music admits it was never easy for her or him. Her because she never thought that kind of love would happen for her nor did watching it come apart help at all. As for him it was getting her and then having it fall apart after Starcrossed. As well as thinking that just because time travel or past lives seem to have some part in this, didn't make his feeling any less.
Its just a look in an eyes only moment where you can only feel, maybe understand some of it too.

thanks, i wasn't entirely sure about it, but i felt it was time to take her side of their story. the music felt like it matched to her and the way she might try to express herself to him about them.
