The best thing to do with backward or reactionary societies and cultures is to just leave them alone. Iraq is not going to be magically converted into a modern, multi-party parlimentary democracy at the point of a gun. Its not going to happen. This whole 'democracy/freedom' crusade of Bush's is totally misguided, and dangerous.
