I must be getting old and impatient, I know it's only a comedy but this type of stupidity (by Pa) just infuriates me.

This is a take off on the old Abbott and Costello routine where 7 goes into 28 13 times. Exact same deal with different numbers.

Percy Kilbride left the Ma * Pa Kettle series in 1955.
They tried to replace him with "Uncle Sedge" (Sedgewick Kettle) played by Arthur Hunnicutt in 1956's "The Kettles in the Ozarks." It didn't work.
In 1957 Parker Fennelly played Pa Kettle in the last movie of the series "The Kettles on Old MacDonald's Farm."
Harry Morgan never played Pa Kettle, nor was he in any of the series.
is that stan laurel??

NO. Percy Kilbride is Pa Kettle. I don't recall the name of the other man, but it is not Stan Laurel.
