She's A Killer (Azula AMV)

Song: K.I. Feeling - from the Killer Cuts CD that came with Killer Instinct for SNES

My first AMV! The AMV the world was waiting for! Yeah right, it seems that the world really didn't want me to make this AMV, as I kept running into obstacles while making it. First, Windows Movie Maker kept crashing on me. Then, when I uploaded the video, Viacom blocked it immediately, of course, and YouTube downgraded my audio to 96 kbps, which results in the muddy sound you hear now. I spent the last two weeks reading the YT help forums and uploading test videos with different encodings and bitrates, trying to find a workaround for the gimped sound, but I'm throwing in the towel and hoping that one day YouTube restores 128 kbps sound to non-HD videos. I did normalize the sound (to -5 dB), as was recommended in the forum, to reduce the distortions. Also, the delay gave me some more time to make the ending better. Two weeks ago the video ended really cheaply, where I let a scene play on for too long, similar to the beginning of the video...

I created this AMV as practice for the AMV that I've been really wanting to make, so I made it up as I went along. The first idea I had was for the slow part of the song. The other AMV that I've been wanting to make would also be an Avatar AMV, and it would use the first song on my Extreme: Crash Course playlist.

I put a lot of time into this. Hope somebody out there gets a laugh out of this. Thanks for reading the description! Please rate and comment.

Btw, can anyone recommend a freeware video editor? As I mentioned before, Windows Movie Maker kept crashing on me while making this.

This video is not a substitute for an episode of the show since I replaced the original audio track with a separate music track and arranged clips from various episodes to fit the flow of the music, thus taking the clips out of their original order. In all, the 3 minutes and 42 seconds of footage used accounts for about 0.28% of the length of the entirety of Avatar, assuming that episodes run for 22 minutes on average. There is a parody halfway though the video, and the video quality is inferior to that of episodes aired on cable/satellite television. I am not profiting from this video. Thank you.

I figured that actually coming up with a fair use defense might work better than submitting the canned Copyright disclaimer (also below). Then again, I may have just made it easier for them to take this down by singling myself out.

@zombiehunter3579 Thanks for the compliment. What I tried to do was use action scenes (fights) for the choruses, when the song is really moving along, and more subdued scenes for the verses
