@brunyonma I'm African-American. I watched both videos (One where he said "Nigger", and the other where he was on David Letterman). If anybody's every watched the one where he's on David Letterman, you would know he was COMPLETELY, UTTERLY, SINCERELY SORRY for what he did, you could clearly see it in his face. Everybody should stop making fun of it, because, in reality, you're making fun of racism, which of course isn't funny.

Michael was wrong for using the N-word and behaving in a truculent manner towards the blacks in attendance but enough time has passed that we should all let the matter die. Everybody that wanted to get their pound of flesh from Michael has probably done so. Richards isn't the first to say the N-word and certainly won't be the last.

@Ian74263 Why would you say that something as ridiculous as racism can't be funny? Obviously racists themselves are a drag, but whats the point in saying 'oh no we can't possibly make fun of this'? If anything, declaring something taboo just INVITES people to joke about it.. and we should. Laughing at inappropriate stereotypes for example, indicates that we know what is wrong with them, and it will probably stop being funny when it stops being such a big deal.

@DeadmanDillon I see; I think you've misunderstood me. I was replying to a guy who implied that Richards "didn't mean it" when he called that audience member a "nigger". I'm not questioning the sincerity of Richards's apology. But I have a hard time believing, after watching the footage of the comedy show, that Richard's didn't mean to call the guy the n-word, since he said it repeatedly. *shrug* But be easy, bro. No need respond with cursing.
