Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter - Oasis + Serious Bonus [All Secrets Found]

My my, look at all those trees. They sway from side to side realistically as if they were caught in a virtual breeze. The reflections on the water are so... enchanting.

Anyway, let me say I practiced the Marsh Hopper battle so many times, my thumbs started bleeding. Not once did I come through the battle unscathed so in the end I had to settle to try and not get hit too often. It seemed a fair target at the time.

I hold my hands up. Well done, Marsh Hoppers - you ended my run of not getting hit. I'll be ready for you when we meet again in the Sewers.

8:11. This is probably one of the pettiest gripes I'll ever make but 'Surprise' is spelt wrong in the 'Surprise Trap' message. 'Suprise'? Am I being overly critical or has there always been another way to spell it? I'll be damned if there is.

***Bonus Out-Take***

After months of constant insistence, I decided to try the game on Serious. Not because I'm one to cave into peer pressure or anything. I decided to try the Marsh Hopper fight on Serious and, by gum, that was a mistake.

As you can see, I get my arse handed to me. Even my cowardly escape at the beginning proved fruitless. Look at them at the end. Standing over my corpse grinning evilly. I should've known that health bottle in the middle was a trap.

Secret One: At the beginning in the pool, turn around and jump through the waterfall to find a Secret Cave with an Ammo Pack and Armor (0:14).

Secret Two: Once you are in the temple, you'll see a statue across the room. There is a Health Pill to the left of it. Walk over it to activate the Sound Attack Secret (4:42 - 4:45).

Secret Three: After activating Secret Two, blow the statue up with some Rockets to uncover a Secret Bouncer underneath the Statue (4:52).

Secret Four: After triggering Secret Three, a Secret Door will open across the room. Jump up to where the statue was and you'll see the bouncer. Stand on it and it'll shoot you over to the Minigun (4:54 - 5:05).

Secret Five: In the Marsh-Hopper room (preferably after the battle), blow up the wall on the left to reveal a Secret Cave with some Health and Bullets (8:05).

Secret Six: Step into the Secret Cave but don't collect anything. A Surprise Trap will activate spawning a Juvenile Arachnoid (8:10). Picking up the Bullets will spawn several Marsh-Hoppers.
