All I wanna do all day is stay home and wear a corset. WHY IS LIFE SO HARD?

In this video I talk about what feminism has become as of late and how I find it's taking the wrong direction. How is trying to overcome gender and rid yourself of feminine aspects empowering women whatsoever?

Is that not actually empowering men by acknowledging their 'superiority' and trying to escape your feminine role to acheive power?

You can be a feminist and be a stay at home mom. Feminism is about equal opportunity. It's still very relevant, especially in other parts of the world where women get stoned to death for making their own decisions. There is a decrease in male births because in China and India it is illegal for the ultrasound technician to reveal the baby's gender because so many parents will abort the fetus if it's a girl. Sex-selective abortion, read up on it. If that's not inequality then I don't know what is.

@BriannaMontour The thing is, there are some feminists who'd frown on that. The REALLY intense ones would still judge a stay at home mom. Many do support that however, but those arent who I'm so adamantly against. Also, I'm aware of the preference of baby gender in other countries, and I also think that's unfortunate, but it is also a different country and I dont feel its my place to comment on thier values.

You don't know a single thing about feminism. Feminists do not all want the same thing and there are numerous different philosophies within feminism. Please do some reading on the history of feminism and the three separate waves before you generalise feminism and stereotype feminists.

@thequirkycircus I totally undersand that there are many different types of feminists, and I am totally pro-equality, but the kind I mention is the sort I take issue with. The kind thats just overstepping the line of 'empowerment' to 'nuts'.

@teeshtalks yes, I would say it's a bit more than gender preference. anyway, nature isn't going to stand by and let the male population exceed the female by millions, that is why female is on the rise. Before, it was slightly more likely to become pregnant with a boy because men have a lower life expectancy than women. In any case, I think really intense feminists are the minority, most feminists don't identify with what you describe in your video.
