You know what, I've given it some thought, and you're right.

The moment I get angry, my coherency is gone, my ability to cite evidence is reduced, and most of all my enjoyment of the beauty of nature disappears. The reason I am so interested in science in the first place is just drowned out by nothing more than shallow bickering.

The comment I was responding to was indeed wrong on multiple levels, but that does justify being a dick. I should correct and educate, not mock and hate.
